FireflySEO Plans 2008
Well all the bubbly has been drunk, the memories of too much turkey and mince pies have been washed away, and we are faced with another year of Search Engine Optimisation. So what exactly are we going to do with ourselves this year?
Well, as some of you have been asking us this question, we thought we would give you all a brief synopsis.
I have been discussing with my business partner the possibility of expanding our video posts this year, as such we plan to release a series of search engine optimisation videos. For the ladies out there, I’m sorry to inform you that we had a toss of the coin and I lost. I guess I shouldn’t be so hard on myself, some people tell me I look a bit like Easy Rider.
As for our contribution to the whole ‘blog’ scene, we aim to get more into the whole blogosphere as we have been a bit lax of late, what with the festivities, and although I had a rant about the uselessness of Twitter, I may even start using this again, although in a more productive way!
One regret is that we did not make it to any of the excellent online marketing conferences last year, this is something that we hope to get the time to do this year. It would be great after all to meet some of you.
There are a few other things that we are interested in but rather than go on about them here is a simple list of everything we would like to achieve. Well nearly everything, we have to keep some things secret.
- More video blogs, featuring yours truly spouting on about SEO!
- A stand at one of this years SEO conferences.
- System to allow people to advertise on FireflySEO.
- Perhaps an integration with Twitter.
- Improve the website layout of our site.
- We would love to be invited to talk on Web Mater Radio, Shoe Money, David Naylor, Rand Fishkin or any of you guys. Get us involved.
- Lots more blogging.
Oh yes, finally. We need a name for our Video blog series. Any suggestions would be very welcome! As a sort of prize for the person who’s suggestion we use we will give away a free banner placement, run of site, for 1 month on FireflySEO.
