FireflySEO are happy to announce the first in our forthcoming series of free seo Tools, the FireflySEO HTTP Viewer otherwise known as Header Response Tool. Version 1 functionality includes:
- Test any URL
- Select between a Header, Body or Header and Body response
- HTTP 1.0 and HTTP 1.1
- Display in Text, Hex or Script Detect
- User agent spoofing to see responses your web server gives dependant on user agent, both pre-defined agents and manual input.
The tool currently site on tools.fireflyseo.com and is called into wordpress using an iFrame. We plan to change this so its called directly soon but in the mean time it will still work as required.
Version 1.5 of the HTTP Viewer is planned soon, proposed functionality is to include:
- Follow redirects and display redirect information
- PHP Sockets to give a lower level output
- UTF-8 Encoding
The tool will soon be on general release under the GPL licence so you can happily install and hack a copy of the software on your own servers.
