API allows you to program in HTML + JavaScript so no special Google language requirements needed. Sites so far who are using the Open Social standard include Engage.com, Friendster, hi5, Hyves, imeem, LinkedIn, MySpace, Ning, Oracle, orkut, Plaxo, Salesforce.com, Six Apart, Tianji, Viadeo, and XING.
